In the age of 9 he started with a classical guitar training till 18.In these years he experienced with sounds from everything wich made a tone. Later he wanted to discover the world of mixing tunes together and become a good dj, but soon he noticed that he had to design his own songs.

From 1985, he was part of the band OFF (acronym for Organization for Fun) which released the hit "Electrica Salsa" in 1986. He was also one of the founders of trance music labels Harthouse and the now-defunct Eye Q,[1] as well as being among the first DJs to play trance records.

"Claude VonStroke" is better known to locals as Barclay Crenshaw, the owner of San Francisco's avant-house label, dirtybird. The Dirtybird label consists of Crenshaw (VonStroke) fellow producer Justin Martin, and a wide assortment of top remixers from around the globe such as John Tejada, Sammy D, Jesse Rose, and Frankie. Richard (Richie) Hawtin (born June 4, 1970, Banbury, Oxfordshire, England) is a English-Canadian electronic musician and internationally-touring DJ who was an influential part of Detroit techno's second wave of artists in the early 1990s. Hawtin is best known for his haunting, minimal works under the alias Plastikman, a moniker he continued to use into the mid 2000s. Hawtin is also known for DJing intelligent, minimal techno sets making use of high-tech electronics such as drum machines and digital mixing equipment.
As a member of Koln, Germany's Kompakt camp of experimental techno artists, Tobias Thomas takes on remix duties, occasionally produces, and also spins records as a DJ. In addition to his own releases on Kompakt sublabels such as NTA and Kreisel 99 (including productions as a duo with Michael Mayer), Thomas released a 2000 mix CD on Kompakt titled Für Dich. Three years later, he followed it up with Smallville, another mix for Kompakt.
