Cauldron Black Ram is an Australian black/death metal band with a thematic focus on pirates. The band was formed in Adelaide, Australia in 1996.The band is made up of Esh on vocals and drums (Stargazer, Misery's Omen), Alim (Mournful Congregation, Stargazer, Misery's Omen) on guitar, and Ishum on bass guitar. Cauldron Black Ram's sound has often been described as a fusion of old school death metal, with elements of doom, sludge and black metal. The band has also expressed a significant influence from USBM act Grand Belial's Key.

BAND HISTORY “Abortus” (Now Known as HERRATIK) started out in mid 1998 & introduced a new brand of Death/Thrash Metal into the Sydney Metal Scene. From mid 98 to Early 99, the band recorded some Demo’s, went through line up changes, & then in Early 99 “Abortus” was ready to play live, with a tight & secure line-up. Throughout early 1999 the band built up a strong following & the fans were demanding an official release. So in mid 1999 “Abortus recorded their Debut CD “Judge Me Not”, & released it in August 1999.
FORBIDDEN Forbidden was part of the second wave of thrash metal bands which arose from the bay area thrash scene (along with Testament, Death Angel, Vio-Lence, etc.). Through-out the 1980’s the thrash metal scene was bursting with talent and among the rhythmic collection a band that refused to be labeled in with the so called bay area sound. They were much more than just the next thrash band, they used odd signatures and melodies to create an original style all their own.
