Marnie Stern

Marnie Stern is a New York City, USA musician, songwriter and guitarist. She has garnered much acclaim for her technical skill and finger-tapping style of guitar play. Her début album was "In Advance Of The Broken Arm" (Feb 2007, Kill Rock Stars) and the latest is "Demo" (Jan 2011, Dog Daze Tapes). The début was favourably received by critics, especially The New York Times: "The year's most exciting rock 'n' roll album.

Sugar Army

Trying to describe Sugar Army is both joyfully easy and nightmarishly hard. On the one hand you can talk in hyperbole and superlatives, and cover the essential description – that the band is quite unarguably beyond compare – but to try and describe their sound in detail is infinitely more difficult. As you listen to The Parallels Amongst Ourselves, you’ll come to understand just why this is the case, and that it is a very cool problem to have. Lakes

There are at least three artists that go by the name of Lakes: *UK Post-Hardcore group (MusicBrainz) who have now changed their name to Kid Pang 1. US Indie group Seth Roberts (formerly of Watashi Wa) emerges with his latest project, Lakes. Featuring a melodic indie rock sound in the same vein as bands like Mae and former labelmate Copeland, Roberts diverges from Watashi Wa musically, while retaining a songwriting style that focuses on life, love, and hope. Photographs EP was officially released in September of 2006 on The Militia Group.

Nada Surf

Nada Surf is an American alternative rock group formed in 1992. The New York band consists of Matthew Caws (guitar, vocals), Ira Elliot (drums, vocals) and Daniel Lorca (bass, vocals). The band is best known for the song "Popular" from their 1996 album High/Low. The song reached #11 on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and propelled the album to #63 on the Billboard 200. The Killers

The Killers are a rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, formed in 2001 and consist of Brandon Flowers (vocals, keyboards), Dave Keuning (guitar, backing vocals), Mark Stoermer (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion). The band's three albums to date have sold in excess of 15 million copies worldwide combined. The band got its name from the fictional band "The Killers" in the video for New Order's "Crystal". The band is currently on hiatus, but is set to return to the studio to record their 4th studio album in early 2011.

Brandon Flowers

Brandon Richard Flowers (born June 21, 1981) is the vocalist and keyboardist in the American synth rock band The Killers. Flowers was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and later raised in Nephi, Utah. While listening to the radio in his car after his very first college class, Flowers heard the song "Changes" by David Bowie. He fell in love with the piece and realized he wanted to be part of the music industry. He is the youngest of six children, with four older sisters and one older brother. The Soft Pack

The Soft Pack are an indie rock band which formed in San Diego, California, United States in 2007. They consist of Matt Lamkin (vocals, guitar), Matty McLoughlin (guitar), David Lantzman (bass) and Brian Hill (drums). They were originally known as The Muslims and released one single and a 12" EP on 1928 Recordings under their previous name. As the Soft Pack they have released two EPs. Their self-titled debut LP was released in February 2010.

Gung Ho

Gung-Ho is a US television sitcom that originally aired on NBC from July 5, 1989, to May 14, 1998, lasting nine seasons, and is now in syndication. The eponymous band was created by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld, with the latter starring as a fictionalized version of himself. Set predominantly in an apartment block on Manhattan's Upper West Side (but shot mainly in Los Angeles), the band features a host of Jerry's friends and acquaintances, including George Costanza, Elaine Benes and Cosmo Kramer.

Race Horses

Race Horses, (formerly known as Radio Luxembourg) are a Welsh psychedelic pop group who formed in Aberystwyth, Wales in 2005. The band consists of Meilyr Jones (formerly of the band Mozz), who is the lead singer and songwriter and also plays bass guitar, Dylan "Huggies" Hughes plays synths and guitar, Gwion Llewelyn plays the drums, and Alun "Gaff" Gaffey (who also plays with the punk skiffle band Pwsi Meri Mew) plays guitar.

An Horse

An Horse is a two person indie pop band from Brisbane, Australia, comprising Kate Cooper of Iron On on vocals and guitar and Damon Cox of Intercooler and Mary Trembles on drums. An Horse was originally a solo project of Kate Cooper, who is the principal songwriter. In 2008 they recorded their debut EP 'Not Really Scared' with producer Magoo, and released this on Valve Records. They then released their first full length album 'Rearrange Beds' in January 2009 on Valve Records in Australia and New Zealand and in March of 2009 on Mom & Pop Records in the United States.
