Looking Glass

Three bands with this name: 1. Looking Glass was an American pop music group of the early 1970s that was part of the Jersey Shore sound. They are best remembered for their million selling 1972 song, "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)". The group was formed in 1969, at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and consisted of four members: Elliot Lurie (lead guitar and vocals), Lawrence Gonsky (piano), Pieter Sweval (bass), Jeff Grob (drums). 2. The name used by Jim Wallis of My Sad Captains for his alt-indie solo work.

The Chevelles are still a great big POWER POP band with loads of guitar action and heaps of soaring harmonies. From day one the critics have raved and the kids of the confection generation have danced and screamed... from their hometown of Perth right across to Europe, USA and South America. Deftones

Deftones is an American rock band from Sacramento, California formed in 1988, consisting of Chino Moreno (lead vocals and guitar), Stephen Carpenter (guitar), Chi Cheng (bass), Frank Delgado (keyboards and turntables), and Abe Cunningham (drums and percussion). While they were mostly considered as a nu metal band in their early years, their sound progressively evolved into something more complex and experimental, as a result they are often coined today as an alternative metal band.

Since their formation in late 2008 the band focused on spending 2009 to rehearse and record their first EP. This attempt by the band has proved promising as 2010 has seen the youthful five-piece; Sign a deal with New Justice Records to support the release of their debut EP “We’re Not Alone” in April to most recently supporting Switchfoot (US), Senses Fail (US), MM9 (AUS), 28 DAYS (AUS), Snob Scrilla (AUS) and also an intimate acoustic set with MXPX’s Mike Herrera on their respective Sydney shows.

The Others

There are at least 15 groups that go by the name of The Others: 1.) The Others are UK dubstep artists Dexterous and D-Code. Although the group is relatively new, they've released on renowned labels like Dub Police, Tempa, Wheel & Deal, Boka, and VeriLo, and have featured on a number of high-profile dubstep mixes, most notable being their mix with Roguestar for МИШКА NYC. They first appeared on the scene with their track Africa on Caspa's Dub Police label in 2007, and have since made a name for themselves with the track Africa VIP, which still receives heavy DJ- and air-play.

Soulwax

Soulwax, headed by David and Stephen Dewaele, is an electronic and alternative band hailing from Ghent, Belgium with traces as early as 1992. Though the Dewaele Brothers have created several major albums under this moniker, they are perhaps best-known for their influential contributions to the bastard pop genre under the name Flying Dewaele Brothers and 2 Many DJ's. and the landmark record As Heard on Radio Soulwax, Pt. 2. The duo has also done a number of official and unofficial remixes, including Daft Punk Is Playing At My House, Robot Rock and DARE.

Ross and the Wrongens

Ross and the Wrongens are straight out of kent. Comprising of sam cox - drums tonbridge, billy jupp - guitar/vocals edinbridge, alex barrett - bass/vocal pembury and ross purchase - vocal/guitar/keys gravesend. There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Madison is a New Jersey-based screamo and later more pop punk band. They were active from 2001 until their split in late 2006 after their relationship with their then label Rushmore Records took a turn for the worse. Madison claimed Rushmore neglected them as a band and didn't listen to their repeated requests for them to be sent to the studio to record a full length, demos of new material having already been submitted but apparently ignored by Rushmore.
