Snow Patrol

Snow Patrol is an alternative rock band which formed in Dundee, Scotland in 1994 and currently based in Bangor, Northern Ireland, where most of the band members are from. They consist of Gary Lightbody (vocals, guitar), Nathan Connolly (guitar, vocals), Paul Wilson (bass), Tom Simpson (keyboards) and Jonny Quinn (drums). A Welsh rock band on the rise, formed on 2006 in Cardiff, UK. They recorded their debut album in LA with Stuart Richardson and Mike Lewis (Lostprophets). The band then signed a one album deal with American record Label Rock Ridge Music. Since then the band has toured with Lostprophets, Funeral For a Friend, Silverstein, The Blackout, Kids in Glass Houses and Cancer Bats to name but a few! Comprising of sam cox - drums tonbridge, billy jupp - guitar/vocals edinbridge, alex barrett - bass/vocal pembury and ross purchase - vocal/guitar/keys gravesend. Their performances are electrifying and burst with the crackling energy and sophisticated take on our throwaway garbage culture that animates the best pulp fiction and b-movies of the 1940s and 1950s. All the band members in AV Okubo were born in the 1980s, and it clearly comes through in their music.

Dire Straits

Dire Straits was a british rock band, formed in 1977 by Mark Knopfler (guitar and vocals), his brother David Knopfler (guitar), John Illsley (bass), and Pick Withers (drums), and subsequently managed by Ed Bicknell. Dire Straits emerged during the post-punk era of the late '70s, and while their sound was minimalistic and stripped down, they owed little to punk. If anything, the band was a direct outgrowth of the roots revivalism of pub rock, but where pub rock celebrated good times, Dire Straits were melancholy.

28 Days

28 Days were a seminal Australian punk rock band formed in Frankston, Australia during 1997. At their career peak, they had a #1 album (Upstyledown) on the Australian ARIAnet Albums Chart and also a #12 single ("Rip It Up") on the ARIAnet Singles Chart. The current members as of 2007 are Jay Dunne (vocals), Simon Hepburn aka 'Hep' (guitar), Damian Gardiner (bass) and Adrian Griffin (drums). Original drummer Adam was replaced by Scott Murray in 2000. Tragically, on 18 November 2001, Murray was killed in a hit-and-run accident in the Melbourne suburb of Kew.
