Born in 1976, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Uroš Umek began DJing in 1993. He and his friends helped develop the dance music scene in Slovenia, and between them they were responsible for putting on the first large scale parties in Slovenia. The result has been that Umek is Slovenia's most famous techno DJ, and a prolific producer. His current style is the combination of many different roots, which the more long term Umek fans may recognise. Starting with a rough, uncompromising edge he quickly built a reputation in the studio. Alex Metric

Alex Metric (born Alex Drury) is a Britsh musician, DJ and producer. He is a resident DJ on BBC Radio 1's 'In New DJs We Trust'[1] and has released numerous EPs as well as working as a producer for acts such as The Infadels, Charli Xcx and Adam Freeland.

Kavinsky

Kavinsky, also known as Vincent Belorgey, is an electro house artist from Paris, France, and has released two EPs on the Record Makers label : Teddy Boy in 2006 and 1986 in 2007. In 2008, he has released his newest EP, Blazer, on fool's gold label. Kavinsky released his newest EP Nightcall on March 2010 (Produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo from Daft Punk). He has been remixed by SebastiAn and other prominent electro artists.

Hot Chip

Hot Chip are an electronic/dance band which formed in London, England, United Kingdom in 2000. It consists of Alexis Taylor (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Joe Goddard (vocals, synths, percussion), Al Doyle (guitar, vocals), Owen Clarke (synths, guitar) and Felix Martin (percussion). The combination of Taylor's ethereal, high-pitched vocals with Goddard's warm, low pitch and the band's blip-blop electronics creates a dreamy sound. The band is best known for the hit singles "Over and Over" (2006) and "Ready for the Floor" (2008).

New Young Pony Club

New Young Pony Club (NYPC) is a five-piece electro band from London consisting of Tahita Bulmer (vocals), Andy Spence (guitar), Lou Hayter (keyboards) and Sarah Jones (drums), and they provide a kind of tight and bass-heavy future discoid noise. Partly inspired by LCD Soundsystem and a chance meeting of like-minded band members intent on establishing something potent, Andy and Tahita formed NYPC in 2005. The band's bassist Igor Volk, quit the band in 2009. Ice Cream, their first single on Modular, was recently used in a television advert, commissioned by Intel for their new Duo processors.

Stones Throw head honcho Peanut Butter Wolf is DJing while a sharply dressed young man approaches the DJ Booth with his Prom date in tow to formally introduce himself. Thus begins the story of James Pants. What began as a dream Prom night to see his hero DJ went to an internship at the label to eventually landing the ultimate fantasy by being signed to the roster and championed as the ‘next big thing’ by none other than Peanut Butter Wolf himself – on top of critics like Busy P, Urb, XLR8R, & Dazed & Confused Magazines.

The Presets

The Presets are Julian Hamilton (keyboard and vocals) and Kimberly Moyes (drums and keyboard). They are an electronic two piece from Sydney, Australia. The Presets have been one of the biggest indie bands for the past few years in Australia, touring with and supporting many well known bands such as Daft Punk, 2 Many DJ's and Ladytron. Their first LP Beams combines electro, rock, techno, pop and a handful of other genres together in a seamless manner.

Kill The Noise

From Los Angeles, California, Jake Stanczak better known as Kill The Noise has exploded into the Electro House scene, since he launched the project in January of '08.
