The Happy Endings have just completed their full length debut album with renown producer Forrester Savell, who has worked with the likes of The Spazzys, Helmet, The Butterfly Effect, Karnivool, Sunk Loto and Gavin Rossdale, this will be released to co-incide with an Australian national tour in April 2008. The first taste of this album comes in the form of explosive debut single/filmclip "Get Around This" which is available RIGHT NOW through GREEN distribution, Waterfront Records and iTUNES.
Basement Birds is an Australian indie supergroup comprised of Kavyen Temperley (Eskimo Joe's frontman and bassist), Steve Parkin (solo singer/songwriter), Kevin Mitchell (musician) (Jebediah, Bob Evans frontman) and solo singer/songwriter Josh Pyke. The groups' mutual love of lush vocal harmonies and alt-country style was the basis for forming the Basement Birds project. "Luckily we all seem to have fairly similar tastes in music, I think it'd be harder if we had someone who was into death metal and another into jazz fusion.
There are two artists named The Ancients. 1. The Ancients is a band from Melbourne, Australia whose one constant member is songwriter Jonathan Michell, also known from his work in Breaking The Law and Mum Smokes. Other members are Mark Rodda, Raquel Solier, and Georgina Ward. In the past, the group has variously included Henry Krips (of Wagons), Dimitrios Constantaridis, Simon Francis (also Wagons), Chris Smith and Jesse Jackson Shepherd. Geek Love is a 3 piece Rock band from St. Kilda, Victoria, Australia. They include Cammy on the bass, Bobby with lead vocals & guitar and Mark on the drums. The Quarters are a three piece Rock 'n Roll band from the home of rock; Melbourne, Australia. After a year of playing smaller local venues, The Quarters have been in and out of several different recording studios with new and improved orginals everytime. They are currently preparing to record a full length and take it on the road. The Quarters were handpicked (lube included) by Grinspoon to support them as well as Gyroscope, Little Birdy, The Butterfly Effect and more at Breakout Festival '07. The crowd at Festival Hall saw Stephanie's underwear everytime she bent down.
Brad Strut is an MC from Melbourne, Australia. He made his name through radio appearances in the early 90s and appeared on early releases from Bias B, Trem and Boney Stoney (Bias B and Brothers Stoney). His debut album "The Authentic" was released in 2001, after which he went on to form the Lyrical Commission with Trem and Bob Balans. LC released their debut "The Stage is Set" in 2002 and followed it up with the "Murderous Metaphors" EP in 2004.
