DC Cardwell grew up in Northern Ireland and spent some years in Vancouver, Canada, before moving to Melbourne, Australia, where he is now based. He records his songs in his home studio, playing all the instruments and singing all the parts.
Known for their passionate delivery and hard work ethic Hailmary is a band not afraid to go out on a limb. For their 2nd EP "A Million Miles And Days" the band traveled to Georgia in the USA to record with Producer Jeff Tomei (Jerry Cantrell, Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox 20) at Cock Of The Walk studio's in Kennesaw. They also toured the South East of America for the first time. Before setting off on their journey Hailmary built up some serious momentum by playing a send-off show to a sold out hometown...
This petite Melbourne born songstress began her musical journey from a young age, expressing herself using recorder, flute, guitar, piano, kazoo and vocals. A little bit cutting- edge, Jem took her folky tones to community events, recitals and eisteddfods. Her refusal to sing standard pop songs whilst showing her midriff, or changing the lyrics to a Beatles tune to make it more politically correct, made it clear that making a living from winning community eisteddfods was a dream needing to die. So she kept writing.
