Africa Hitech is more than a name; it is an ideology - one that embodies its members’ passions for an eclectic diaspora of electronic styles, from soul, dub and acid to UK garage, grime, techno, house and Jamaican dancehall. The Twinkle Brothers

The Twinkle Brothers hail from the north coast of Jamaica in the ghettos of Falmouth, the Parish of Trelawny. The two brothers, Norman and Ralston Grant, were baptized in the church of Anglican Diocese. They started singing in the Sunday school choir and concerts at the age of six and eight respectively. At that time they started to make their own instruments since they could no afford to buy them. They made guitars and drums from various tin cans (garbage can, sardine, milk, etc.) and fishing line.

FuntCase

FuntCase had started making Dubstep early July, which came after 5 years of mainly producing Drum and Bass. His first track 'Gorilla Flex' was originally just for laughs but it turned out to be quite a highly rated track and it wasnt long until he got his first Dubstep release on vinyl, with 4:20 records. Enjoying the new way of production he militantly went on to make a few more tracks, one entitled 'Half Drunk' and the other 'Make Our Day' which also made the vinyl release with Gorilla Flex.

Tahuna Breaks

Tahuna Breaks are an uplifting reggae / funk / soul band based in Auckland. They formed following inspiring jams that stretched from a garage in Onehunga to the remoteness of Piha on Auckland’s west coast. With influences varying from the likes of Marvin Gaye, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, James Brown, UB40 and New Zealand’s very own dub and reggae movement, Tahuna Breaks are a fine tune roots blend of funk and reggae with that distinctive New Zealand summery sound.

He has been DJing from the age of 14, beginning with deep house and hip hop, becoming attracted to hip-hop and jungle as he grew older. Ramadanman has been interested in music all his life, and began producing by recording keyboard songs onto cassettes. After learning how to make music on computer, Ramadanman started to use his brother’s copy of Fruity Loops at around the age of 15. He has stuck with this program ever since.
