DJ Zinc

DJ Zinc is a drum and bass disc jockey from the United Kingdom. DJ Zinc is renowned for both his skills as a DJ and for the quality of his productions and remixes. He rose to prominence in the period of drum and bass production dominated by the hip-hop-influenced Jump-Up style, although he has continually positioned himself at the cutting edge of the music by embracing a variety of styles in his versatile DJ sets.

Shpongle

The core members of Shpongle are Simon Posford and Raja Ram from the United Kingdom, along with many collaborators and guest musicians. Ott is also credited on all albums. Their sound is a mix of mainly eastern ethnic samples and western contemporary psychedelic synth music. Posford is responsible for the synth and studio work while Raja Ram contributes with flute arrangements. They are both responsible for the visionary input. According to one interview, they commonly visualize the music together before and during the creation process.

The Rapture

There are two bands sharing the name Rapture:
1. An American dance-punk group
2. A common mistake for a finnish death/doom band actually called "Rapture". 1)The Rapture are an American rock band formed in San Francisco. The band mixes influences of post-punk, dance-punk, acid house, disco, electronica, and more. The Rapture formed in 1998 by drummer Vito Roccoforte and guitarist/vocalist Luke Jenner. After relocating to New York, the original bassist left and was replaced by Matt Safer.

Black Dice

Black Dice are an experimental group based in Brooklyn. They formed in Providence, Rhode Island, United States in 1997, comprising members Bjorn Copeland (guitar), Hisham Bharoocha (drums) (following a short drumming stint by Lightning Bolt's Brian Chippendale), Sebastian Blanck (bass) and Eric Copeland (vocals). After the band relocated to new york City, Sebastian Blanck left and was replaced by Aaron Warren. Hisham Bharoocha had previously sung for Lightning Bolt and is currently working on other projects, but he left the band too and is now working as a solo musician Soft Circle.

Giuseppe Ottaviani

Giuseppe Ottaviani (born in 1978) is an Italian trance music producer. After the music project NU NRG, which he did together with Andrea Ribeca, he is working and producing solo since 2005. Most of his tracks are released on the label VANDIT Records, such as Linking People, Through Your Eyes and No More Alone with the vocals of Stephen Pickup[1]. Giuseppe Ottaviani also worked with DJ and producer Paul van Dyk on two tracks of his album In Between, which are Far Away and La Dolce Vita.

Stones Throw head honcho Peanut Butter Wolf is DJing while a sharply dressed young man approaches the DJ Booth with his Prom date in tow to formally introduce himself. Thus begins the story of James Pants. What began as a dream Prom night to see his hero DJ went to an internship at the label to eventually landing the ultimate fantasy by being signed to the roster and championed as the ‘next big thing’ by none other than Peanut Butter Wolf himself – on top of critics like Busy P, Urb, XLR8R, & Dazed & Confused Magazines.

DJ Krush

DJ Krush (Hideaki Ishii) was born in 1962 in Tokyo. At an early age, Ishii dropped out of school, and joined a local gang, and a few years later, Yakuza. After watching the film 'Wild Style' in the early '80s, he was inspired, bought himself a set of turntables, and began to learn the art of turntablism. In 1987, he formed the KRUSH POSSE, which made numerous appearances as a group in late 1992 which gave him recognition for becoming the first DJ in Japan to perform with live musicians.

There are at least five artists who go by the name Dexter: 1. A 26 year old producer, DJ and MC from Germany. He digs Flylo, Madlib and Oh-No as much as library music, psych rock and Amiga Schlager. Dexter is one of the founding members of the Generation Tapedeck blog. His latest LP is "Hi-Hat Club Vol. 3 – The Jazz Files". 2. Dutch electro DJ and producer. 3. A chiptune artist from the UK 4. Brazilian rapper, a former member of 509-E.
