In the course of the eighties Jeff Mills was an influential radio DJ on WJLB under the pseudonym The Wizard. Mills' sets were a highlight of the nightly show from "The Electrifying Mojo," Charles Johnson. Complimenting Mojo's eclectic playlists, Mills would spin obscure detroit techno, hiphop, electro, freestyle, miami bass, chicago house and classic new wave tracks. In going on to create his own music Mills is credited with laying the foundations for legendary detroit techno collective, Underground Resistance, alongside 'Mad' Mike Banks, a former Parliament bass player.
The Whitest Boy Alive is a musical group based in Berlin. The band comprises Norwegian singer/guitarist Erlend Øye, who is also a member of the band Kings Of Convenience, bassist Marcin Öz, drummer Sebastian Maschat, and Daniel Nentwig on Rhodes piano and Crumar. Erlend Øye is from Norway, while the rest of the band is German. They started as an electronic dance music project in 2003 in Berlin, but have since slowly developed into a band with no programmed elements.

Bob Sinclar, born in 1967, real name Christophe LeFriant, is a French record producer, DJ, remixer and co-owner (with DJ Yellow) of the label Yellow Productions. Sinclar started DJing in 1986, when he was just 18 years old, specializing in funk and hip-hop music, with the name Chris The French Kiss. His first club hit was Gym & Tonic, a track produced by Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk, featuring vocals illegally taken from a Jane Fonda fitness tape. The Bob Sinclar persona was based on a character from Philippe de Broca's film Le Magnifique.
Spank Rock is an American hip-hop group consisting of rapper Naeem Juwan and producer Alex Epton (XXXchange). Xiu Xiu is an experimental band originally from San Jose, California and currently based in Durham, NC and Brooklyn. The band is named after the main character of the 1998 Chinese film "Tian yu" (a.k.a. "Xiu Xiu: The Sent Down Girl") Xiu Xiu was first formed in 2000 and is the main project of singer-songwriter Jamie Stewart, who records with friends on his home computer. Stewart's cousin, Caralee McElroy joined the band in 2003 and was the only other permanent member of the band until her departure in early 2009.
Torbjørn Brundtland (10 May 1975) makes up half of the duo Röyksopp. Bruntland was born in Tromsø, Norway. He appears as Tuka only once, on a great album "Arctic Circles 2" (1999).
