Madeleine Clare

Born and raised in the live music capital of Australia, Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Madeleine Clare is set to release her debut solo album The Eleventh Hour in October 2022 - co-produced with Australian Music Prize nominee and multi-instrumentalist Jethro Pickett.

The voice of an angel but with plenty of the devil in her, Madeleine's songs are made for late night introspection, drawing from a wide range of influences including alt country, folk, indie noir, psychedelia, and cabaret to create rich, evocative and intimate music.

Madeleine's early career included fronting funk and soul outfits Superfly and Earthworm and as vocalist with Melbourne outfit Disasterware, supporting hip hop pioneers Jurassic Five on their Australian tour.

Madeleine turned her back on singing and performing for a time, changing careers and starting a family.
But music still beckoned and The Eleventh Hour is the beautiful result of a call finally answered.
