In Flagranti

In Flagranti is the duo of Sasha Crnobrnja (aka Cosmic Rocker) and Alex Gloor. They both have been in and around various scenes on opposite sides of the globe between New York and Europe. What they share is the simultaneous discovery of the italian cosmic scene from the late 70's early 80's. Both were hooked after hearing some of the mixed tapes in the early 80's, which had this hypnotic blend of electro-disco-afro-rock-funk-dub.

Jacques Lu Cont

Jacques Lu Cont, born as Stuart Price on Sept. 7 1977, is the same gentleman who brings you Madonna's tour this year (2006), as he is her manager. Reportedly, he has said that the Human League's album 'Dare' inspired his sound the most, as evidenced by the video "Hey You What's That Sound," which looks amazingly like Madonna's "Hung Up." Hmm. He also laid down some sexy beats to her Confessions album...

Major Lazer

Diplo and Switch certainly live the life. Hugely successful DJs/producers in their own right, last year they joined forces and headed to Jamaica to explore their Rasta roots. The locals were a bit dubious about their dancehall credentials--Diplo, being a skinny white kid from Philly, and Switch, being a baldy, beardy ginge from Birmingham--but the pair proved their worth in the studio and have recorded with artists like Elephant Man, Gyptian, and T.O.K. http://www.majorlazer.com/
