Todd Rundgren

Todd Rundgren is an American singer, songwriter, and producer who started in the 60s with the psychedelic band Nazz in Philadelphia. His solo career started out successfully with such hits as I Saw The Light and Hello It's Me (which was a reworked Nazz tune). He formed a band called Utopia (or Todd Rundgren's Utopia) which concentrated on eccentric progressive epics, while also continuing to release solo albums. His production work started early, with work for Sparks, The New York Dolls, and continued with Meat Loaf, XTC and The Psychedelic Furs, and many others.

BLACKBIRDS

There are at least two bands/artists with this name: 1) BLACKBIRDS is a hardcore/punk band from Michigan (although some members are from Canada). Their earlier material took cues from American Nightmare/Outbreak/97A but their new material is in the vein of His Hero Is Gone/Tragedy/etc. They are not broken up anymore and are back together with a new lineup, new releases soon, and are back touring. The hardcore band Blackbirds is not associated with blackdog records.

Rincon

Rincon are a 5 piece alternative rock outfit from Melbourne, Australia. In March 2008, Rincon released their much anticipated debut album, "Evolution". This is the first full length album to have come out of the Bigger Music Productions workshop with Stuart Biggins at the helm. "Evolution" was mixed by Justin Thomas (USA). "Evolution" has been successfully received throughout both Australia and overseas, gaining various placements with Red Bull Europe/USA, their music featuring on Red Bull Air Race & Motorcross DVD's.

Apollo

There are multiple artists with this name: Apollo was formed in 1969. They released one album, Apollo (1970). Their music was occasionally heavy and the band sounds like Led Zeppelin or Procol Harum, with little bit King Crimson in it. Members have been in other Finnish progressive projects.
2) Apollo Indie Dance / Post Punk band from Ballarat, Australia. They Began mid 2009 when two kids decided to constructively channel their boredom in the form of melodic sound.

There are 19 (and counting) acts named Nexus. 1. neXus is a electronica/dance artist located in Columbus, GA. Featuring hard hitting dance tracks, stunning progressive techno beats, and other interesting variations on the electronica genre. Using beats that normally would not fit, neXus finds a way to make them attractive and strangely alluring. Putting a lot of hours into his work, and spanning over the course of a year, neXus plans to release his album the end of 2010.

Formed in 1988 the group Airborne celebrates years of recordings, jazz festivals, gigs, and the whole ups and downs of being musicians. The members have toured Europe, Japan and across the USA. Airborne has 6 successful CD’s as of date and has received worldwide airplay and international acclaim.

Intentions

There are at least three artists using this name: 1. A three-piece post-hardcore band from Sydney, Australia, formed in mid-2008, taking inspiration from Fugazi, Gang Of Four, Ohana, To The North and Steve Reich. They are three people living in Sydney who argue amongst themselves about what genre they are (indie punk?), but who also make music that is angular, unadorned, catchy, contemplative and incisive. Various perspectives on Intentions' music: "a great raw mix of emotional uncertainty, loose math-rock rhythms and a whirlwind of furious energy... brilliant stuff"
