Tabula Rasa

There are several bands named 'Tabula Rasa': a Finnish progressive rock group, a math rock band, a medieval band, a Greek punk band which was active in the 90's, a reggae band from Poland, an acoustic/folk band from Birmingham, UK and a funk-rock band from Solothurn, Switzerland. The following text deals with the progressive rock group: Tabula Rasa was one of the most influencial progressive rock groups of the 1970's in Finland. Tabula Rasa was formed in Kangasala, Finland, in 1972.

The Tea Party

The Tea Party is a Canadian rock band from Windsor, Ontario, with blues, progressive rock and Middle Eastern influences who formed in 1990 and disbanded in October 2005. They reformed in 2011 to play some shows in Canada. They have released seven albums commercially during their time together. Guitarist and vocalist Jeff Martin, who has perfect pitch, was also producer for almost all of their albums.

Chain

There are at least two bands performing under the name Chain: 1) Over 40 musicians have been a member of Chain, one of Australia's premier blues bands that has been going strong for over three decades. Formed from the remnants of Perth band the Beaten Tracks in 1968, the Chain were named by singer Wendy Saddington after the classic soul track "Chain of Fools." Saddington soon left and the band released one of Australia's first progressive blues singles, "Show Me Home," in 1969. Soon after, the Chain shortened their moniker to Chain.

Blonde On Blonde

There are at least three bands who perform under the name Blonde On Blonde: a) Blonde on Blonde was a guitar-led psychedelic rock group from South Wales. The band was originally formed in Newport in 1967 by vocalist/guitarist Ralph Denyer, drummer Les Hicks, bassist/organist Richard Hopkins and guitarist/sitar player Gareth Johnson. Even though they enjoyed strong reviews from music critics and achieved massive exposure playing before gigantic crowds at the 1969 Isle of Wight festival, they never managed to generate much in the way of sales. They disbanded in early 1972.

Stonefield

Mere Theory

Mere Theory’s live performance résumé includes spots on the 2005 and 2007 Big Day Outs; billing at the Clipsal 500 After Race Concert (to a hometown audience of 10,000); shows with international contemporaries like Millencolin, Anberlin and Alexisonfire; national tours with Gyroscope and Karnivool, and an appearance on the television show Rove Live. Darth Vegas

Australian avant-garde or experimental band whose music evokes 50s B-grade horror film and deranged circus mayhem, somewhat in the same vein of Mr. Bungle. Darth Vegas is lead by Michael Lira, formally from Vicious Hairy Mary.. Thus far the band has only released one official studio album but still tour locally with a 7-piece-band.
