The Red Paintings

THE RED PAINTINGS (TRP) are a progressive rock / theatrical performance group who incorporate themed costumed stage shows, live art, visual projections (working with local and international artists), human canvases. The bands’ sound and live show is described by fans and press as orchestral art rock. Last month, The Red Paintings (TRP) posted a message on Facebook promising that if 1000 Australian fans hit ‘’LIKE’’ on the post, TRP would return to Australia to play all Capital cities in the summer of 2011/2012.

2) Power Violence band formed in Leicester UK in December 2008
3) Australian Metal/Thrash band formed in 2000 by guitarist Mark Woolley Melbourne Australia . Woolley was the long time guitarist for Hobbs Angel of Death. Following the demise of his own project Hatred, Woolley formed Toecutter : http://www.myspace.com/toecuttermetal and released the 'Lost Culture' album. Band reformed in 2009, to work on new material and a return to live gigging.

Parades

Parades are a young art rock band from Sydney who wisely choose to create their own music with no outside input or interference. Featuring Dan Cunningham, Tim Jenkins, Michael Scarpin and Jonathan Boulet – Parades’ debut album Foreign Tapes is out now via Dot Dash Recordings. The album is expansive and ambitious; a haze of pop harmonies, post rock guitars and electronic meanderings. Drum Media did a great job describing the band when they said

Not many people know this, but a friend of mine was in japan last year, possibly the year before, anyway, they were over there over valentines day and they were feeling very lonely and didn’t know who to write a valentines day card to, so they chose Grizzly, the character of Super Crunchy Fun Grizzly, who was the character of a Japanese cereal. Anyway he got a letter back the very next day, signed Sincerely, Grizzly.

A Cloakroom Assembly’s debut album for Endgame is titled Territory + Population, it is a hypnotic, brooding, melodic soundtrack for modern life. A Cloakroom Assembly is the psuedonym of pioneering Australian sound artist Michael Tee. His album Territory + Population combines elements of old German space rock, 1950’s Sci-Fi soundtracks, minimalism, modal
structures, planned accidents, palimpsest, low-fi and low-tech keyboards, mrrk sound beds, abstract loops, and treated guitars.

Mike Patton

Michael Allan Patton (born January 27, 1968, in Eureka, California) is an American singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and video game voice actor, best known as the lead singer of the rock band Faith No More from 1988 to 1998, which recently reunited in 2009 and will be touring Europe this summer. He has also handled lead vocals and composed music for Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Lovage, Fantômas, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Moonchild Trio and Peeping Tom.

Severed Heads

An Australian electronic group formed in Sydney, Australia in 1979, Severed Heads have released albums ranging from <a href="http://www.last.fm/tag/experimental" class="bbcode_tag" rel="tag">experimental</a> <a href="http://www.last.fm/tag/industrial%20noise" class="bbcode_tag" rel="tag">industrial noise</a> to <a href="http://www.last.fm/tag/synthpop" class="bbcode_tag" rel="tag">synthpop</a> influenced <a href="http://www.last.fm/tag/dance" class="bbcode_tag" rel="tag">dance</a> music. The original members were Richard Fielding and Andrew Wright, and were soon joined by Tom Ellard. This later changed to Garry Bradbury, Paul Deering, and Tom Ellard; Ellard has been the only one to remain throughout the group's career, with changing lineups throughout its two and a half decades of existence, later working mainly with Stephen Jones.

Mitchell Brennan

Mitchell Brennan is a noise artist based in Melbourne VIC. His current work is based in the manipulation and collage of recorded sounds as well as tapes, mics and ceramics. 2010 has seen Mitchell playing shows in Brisbane, Lismore, Newcastle, Sydney and Adelaide as well as Melbourne both solo and in collaboration. Ongoing collaborators include Fjorn Butler (Butler/Brennan Duo), Mark Skelton (Incompetent Cervix), Cooper Bowman (Mitchell Brennan & RSI), Lachlan Gale (Hrvatska) and Lara Soulio. Mitchell was also one-third of the now defunct Newcastle based trio Brassskulls.
