Wintercoats

Wintercoats is the Solo Project of Melbourne violinist James Wallace. Starting in 2009, James began composing various string arrangements as well as solo piano pieces , before expanding into other instruments, beginning the Wintercoats project. Opting to play solo, James performs through the live sampling of piano, strings, percussion, and vocals, creating a blend of ambient, classical, and folk music. In May 2010, Wintercoats released his first EP "Cathedral" as a free download (http://www.mediafire.

Fleet Foxes

Fleet Foxes is an indie folk band which formed in Seattle, Washington, United States in 2006. The band consists of Robin Pecknold (vocals, guitar), Skyler Skjelset (guitar), Christian Wargo (bass, guitar, vocals), Casey Wescott (keyboards, vocals), Morgan Henderson (multiple instruments) and J. Tillman (drums, vocals). They are signed to the labels Sub Pop and Bella Union. Fleet Foxes released the six-track Fleet Foxes EP in 2006, a five-track EP, Sun Giant on April 8, 2008, and their debut full-length self-titled album, Fleet Foxes on June 3, 2008.

Beach House

Beach House is a dream pop group which formed in 2005 in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The group consists of Victoria Legrand (vocals, organ) and Alex Scally (guitar, keyboards). Legrand is the niece of french composer Michel Legrand. The group has released three albums: 2006's "Beach House", 2008's "Devotion" and "Teen Dream" in early 2010.. Within a year of formation, the group charmed indie music enthusiasts across the blogosphere with their languid songcraft, while the eerie warmth of "Apple Orchard" landed on Pitchfork's Infinite Mixtape MP3 series in August 2006.

Chook Race

Carolyn, Rob and Matt are Chook Race. A Melbourne garagey three piece band/street gang. Though having only been playing for a short while, Chook Race's garagey surf pop and reputation as an energetic and fun unit has landed them some sweet support spots including the always awesome Sonny and the Sunsets (USA) & Magic Kids (USA)

Bob Log III

Bob Log III was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Arizona. Growing up, Log listened to musical artists such as AC/DC, Screaming Jay Hawkins, Bo Diddley, Hasil Adkins and Chuck Berry, later commenting that "That's what rock'n'roll is to me. You take a guitar, turn it up, make the ladies dance, and have a good time.” [1] Bob Log got his first guitar at the age of 11, and by the age of 16 he had moved to slide guitar, playing Delta blues, modeling his slide guitar style on that of Mississippi Fred Mcdowell.

Magic Kids

There are six of them: Al, Ben, Will, Michael, Alice, and Bennett. They're from Memphis. Their debut album is called "Memphis" and was released on 24th August 2010. According to The Guardian, "their songs are so Beach Boys 1963-4 they should only be heard in a Deuce Coupe."
They have a new official video out of "Superball" available on youtube.

Melbourne band who mainline German electro-punk styles (DAF/Cluster/Kraftwerk) and melt them down with subterranean Americana that draws on the nightmare sound of early Suicide, the eschatological tapes and drum machine style of the first incarnation of Destroy All Monsters et al. Captured Tracks calls it “’74 Germany + ’79 Sheffield + ’09 Australia”.

Kurt Vile & the Violators

Kurt Vile & the Violators are a rock band from Philadelphia PA, United States. The band draws influences from lo-fi, psychedelic and classic rock. Founded by frontman Kurt Vile (guitar, vocals), the band currently consists of Jesse Turbo (guitar, slide), Mike Zeng (percussion) and Adam Granduciel (guitar, bass). Kurt and Adam have played music together ever since the early 00's with each one contributing to the other's projects, most notably in The War on Drugs which is fronted by Granducial.
