lyke giants

Emerging from the edge of the Rubicon River, Tasmania (AUS), Lyke Giants have quickly been making a name for themselves since the release of their first; self titled EP at the end of 2010, for which they collaborated with
Aria award-winning producer Paul McKercher (Sarah Blasko, Eskimo Joe, Pete Murray, The Living End, You am I).
Defining their music is challenging as they meld multiple genres and create their own brew of Indie Rock/Pop, intertwining semi-hectic rhythms, flowing vocals and layered atmospheric instrumentation.

Dark Horse

Dark Horse's origins were formed in late 2005 with the band playing cover songs in typical garage band fashion. This lasted a few months before they decided to start working on original material. Before their first song was wrapped up they had invited Adam to join the ranks and take on the role as lead singer and guitarist. With the lineup now complete the band continued to focus on writing original material under the name Cairnlea and performed their first live show in December of 2006.

Claude Hay

Claude's solo act features his right foot on drums and percussion, his left foot on live looping and conducting and his hands on bass guitar, acoustic guitar and doumbek. Not to mention his vocal as the lead singer and backup. From a recent interview, Claude describes it as "a one-man band thing with a baritone guitar, percussion sounds and a shitload of effects - and it's all played live and possibly sounds somewhere in between P-Funk and Xavier Rudd.

dora maar

From the beginning, they have experimented with different styles of music, always striving to come up with something completely unique.

Sticky Fingers

The Sydney based four and sometimes 5 piece have just released their debut, the ironically titled mini-album Extended Play.
From the inner west the band is delivering a refreshing vibe to the Australian music scene, they began when drummer Beaks and bass player Paddy, met busker Dylan, one night outside the Coopers Arms hotel in Newtown.

Dylan, fresh from N.Z. and not yet 18, was on the streets with his guitar busking for coin outside the pub. “We met him,” Paddy says, “when the Coopers Arms bouncer started hassling us to give the dude money".

Since then the band have spent their time re-fining and re-defining their sound, a mega-hectic, psychedelic, reggae that’ll have you trading your flat screen for a ticket to ride, surrendering your dignity to your urges, throwing shapes around rooms with people you’ve never met.

The Sticky sound is doused in textural, psyche-y and atmospheric melodies that push out the S.F. rhythm section’s blunt soundscapes.

In the past 14 months the Stickies have started touring, along the way playing Woodford, Playground Weekender and New Beginings Festivals and playing with Children Collide, Urthboy, Amy Meredith, Art Vs Science & Kingtide. Already highly rated by anyone that crosses their path, the band’s live show is on the up. Read more on Last.fm. Mother And Father

Mother and Father is a heavy demented three piece pop/punk band that spawned from the black depths of central Victoria. Dirtier, inferior and more abrasive is the only way to describe the tragedy that is Mother and Father. Were nothing. New album out soon.
