Unda Dwella

Brisbane favourite Unda Dwella is a solo rapper who's been a watcher and then active part of the Brisbane movement for over 10 years. A lover of rap since the moment he saw 'Beat Street' for the first time in grade 2 he's been obsessed ever since. Unda Dwella's stage presence and live performances have won him many supporters as well as being a strong supporter himself off the mic. Just gaining momentum and spreading beyond the river city look out for releases following the well received "Everyone Loves U.D." mixtape before year's end.

The Triangles

The Triangles are a five piece band from Melbourne, Australia, who started playing together in 2003. Their style is informed by many types of music including psychedelic pop, guitar based indie rock and 1970s folk. The Triangles independently released two albums of folky experimental pop in 2003 and 2004 before their first major release ‘Magic Johnson’ came out on the independent Australian label Half A Cow in 2005.

The Black Sorrows

The Black Sorrows is a blues-oriented Australian rock band that carries strong influences from zydeco, country and hillbilly music. The band formed in 1983 around singer-songwriter Joe Camilleri in the wake of his principal band Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons dissolution. The band has played host to a revolving lineup of musicians with Camilleri the only constant. The band initially played covers until producing originals, some of which saw moderate Top 40 success during the 80s and 90s ("Chained to the Wheel, Hold on to Me.") Joe Camilleri

Joe Camilleri (born 1948 in Malta) is a legendary Australian singer, songwriter and saxophonist. He has also recorded under the pseudonums "Jo Jo Zep" and "Joey Vincent". He began his music career playing blues and R&B, and in the late 1960s he was a member of Adderly Smith Blues Band but according to Australian rock historian Ed Nimmervoll Camilleri was sacked for sounding too much like Mick Jagger and for upstaging the other band members.

Hobbs Angel of Death

The band began in 1985 as a solo project for ex-TYRUS guitarist Peter Hobbs, with the help of ex-Nothing Sacred members Mark Woolley (guitar), Sham (drums) and Karl Lean (bass), who recorded a number of demos which attracted interest from overseas labels. Hobbs' debut album, Hobbs Angel Of Death, was released in 1988 through German record label Steamhammer Records, and achieved a great deal of success in Europe.

Mid Youth Crisis

Mid Youth Crisis from Melbourne, Australia formed in late 1993 initially under the name Downfall, before changing their name to One Inch Punch in October 94. The initial line-up was Steve (vocals), Dave (bass), Heath (guitar), Adrian (guitar), and Jay (drums). Steve had previously been in Steadfast, and Jay had previously been in Providence. Under the name Downfall, they released two demo tapes containing four songs. The second being recorded in April 1994.
