Their amazing energy and catchy melodies are taking a fairly generic genre and shattering it's boundaries. Wish For Wings are a hardcore band from Brisbane, Australia. The members of the band are very dedicated and supportive of the straight edge philosophy. They are known for their intense shows and are a cornerstone of the Australian hardcore scene. They have also released an EP "From the Past To the Grave" which was distributed locally.
Many bands with the same name: 1) Terror, a hardcore band from Los Angeles, California. The band formed in early 2002.
Though the group consider themselves a "hardcore" band, guitarist Doug Weber says Terror, "sounds like all of the old metal bands I used to listen to. It's just not crazy Swedish metal or something, it sounds like old thrash." Terror has been very successful in their time as a band. Their album One with the Underdogs sold over 40,000 copies. They have also been on tours throughout Europe, Australia, Brazil and Japan.
Carpathian is a band from Melbourne, Victoria and formed in 2003. Carpathian have been an indestructible force on unstable ground. Hampered by incessant line-up changes, they've nonetheless managed to assert their dominance in the Australian hardcore pack. Releasing their debut EP through Washed Up label in 2005, they were signed to Australian label Resist, who issued the acclaimed full-length album "Nothing to Lose" the following year.
Stick to Your Guns is a 5 piece hardcore band from Orange County, California. Very heavily influenced by the orange county hardcore scene, their music, message, style, and sound can perhaps be compared to bands like Bleeding Through and Throwdown. Currently they are signed to Century Media/Sumerian Records and have released two full-length albums to date. Coming from Newcastle Australia, this five piece delivers a unique blend of heavy hardcore and metal, keeping it as original as possible by staying away from latest trends, which is due to a diverse range of influences. Their well received debut album MISSING LIMBS was released on Trial and Error records in april 07. Dropsaw released their second album in 08 titled VICTIMS OR KILLERS. The album was recorded in Melbourne with the help of The Red Shores Roman Koester.
