Two black metal Bands, a thrash metal band, a hardcore punk Band and an electronica musician with this Nickname: #1) Mayhem is a black metal band from Oslo, Norway which was originally formed in 1983, taking strong influence especially from Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Venom and from earlier Bathory. The name "Mayhem" was taken from the title of the Venom song "Mayhem with Mercy".

All lyrics are written in Norwegian, the band's native language, and concerning Norse mythology/Viking folklore. As of today, the six members are: Erlend Hjelvik (vocals), Vidar Landa (guitar), Bjarte Lund Rolland (guitar), Maciek Ofstad (guitar), Marvin Nygaard (bass), and Kjetil Gjermundrød (drums). Known for their consistent, idiosyncratic sound, the band states that their main influences are rock and roll, black metal and punk.
Röyksopp is an electronic music duo formed in 1998 in Tromsø, Norway and currently based in Bergen, Norway. The band consists of Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge, both being songwriters, producers and remixers. They usually rely on the use of other vocalists for their songs and occasionally they perform the vocal parts. The Norwegian word "røyksopp" means puffball fungus (literally "smoke mushroom").
Datarock is a Norwegian band. The band describes their sound as "a mixture of musical styles like." A trio of friends, Fredrik Saroea, Ketil Mosnes and Kevin O'Brien, conceived the group while at a festival in Bergen, and soon hired Tom Mæland. O'Brien and Mæland later left the band, but the duo of Saroea and Mosnes continued the project. The band members list their major artistic influences as Devo, Talking Heads and the Happy Mondays.
