Jet

"Jet" is the name used by five groups. Jet (1) is a rock band from Melbourne, Australia, whose debut album Get Born, released in 2003, has so far sold over 1 million copies throughout the world.
The band claims to draw influence from groups such as The Beatles, The Sex Pistols, The Kinks, AC/DC, Oasis and The Rolling Stones.
Their tunes Are You Gonna Be My Girl and Cold Hard Bitch became worldwide hits; the former became popular largely due to featuring in an ad for the Apple iPod. The track Look What You've Done was used in the film A Lot Like Love.

Sounds Like Sunset

Sounds Like Sunset's music is a mix of simple songs taken on sort of a wild ride - freely moving in directions led by huge guitars and feedback, and drawing on influences such as BailterSpace, The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine and the gloomier side of The Beach Boys in equal measure. The band formed in Sydney, Australia in 1997 with David Challinor (vocals, guitar), David Hobson (bass) and Rohan Geddes (drums).

The Trews

The Trews are a Canadian rock group from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, consisting of vocalist Colin MacDonald, guitarist John-Angus MacDonald, bassist Jack Syperek, and drummer Sean Dalton. The band are currently based in Toronto, Ontario. The band started off with the name One I'd Trouser, before changing their name to Trouser and eventually The Trews. They released an EP as Trouser, and a second EP under the name "The Trews."

Future of the Left

Future of the Left is an alternative rock band formed in 2005 in Cardiff, Wales. The initial line-up brought together former mclusky singer/guitarist Andrew Falkous (aka Falco) and drummer Jack Egglestone with former Jarcrew guitarist Kelson Mathias and bassist Hywel Evans. Evans soon left to start his own group, so Mathias took up the bass, and after initial gigs under a variety of tongue-in-cheek pseudonyms the remaining trio debuted as Future Of The Left in September 2006.

Okkervil River

Okkervil River is an indie/folk rock band from Austin, Texas USA. Formed in 1998, the band takes its name from a short story by Russian author Tatyana Tolstaya. The band currently consists of Will Sheff (vocals, guitar), Justin Shurburn (guitar, keyboards), Lauren Gurgiolo (guitar, pedal steel, mandolin), Scott Brackett (keyboards, trumpet, percussion), Patrick Pestorius (bass, keyboards) and Travis Nelsen (drums).

The Broken Hearts

Formed a couple of years ago by Nisha Thirkell, Amber Jane and NJ Whitey. The Broken Hearts girls are well known faces on the London/European DJ and Burlesque scene and are regular DJs at club nights such as Stunners International, Rakehell's Revels and the Café de Paris. Playing an upbeat, eclectic mix of 1920s oddities, '30s – '50s swing, '60s girl-group pop and classic rock 'n' roll, the girls have brought excitement to dance floors across Europe. Their first single 'Black Cat' was released on Mute Irregulars, and sold out immediately.

The Greenhornes

The Greenhornes are a rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio, featuring Craig Fox on lead vocals and guitar, Jack Lawrence on bass, and Patrick Keeler on drums. The band has released several full-length albums and singles. Their most recent release is a compilation of previously released material, Sewed Soles. The complilation was released quickly after East Grand Blues, an EP for V2 Records, which was produced by Detroit musician Brendan Benson. The band's collaboration with Holly Golightly, "There Is an End", was the theme song of Jim Jarmusch's 2005 film, Broken Flowers.

Mercury Rev

Mercury Rev is an American rock music group, that formed in 1989 in Buffalo, New York. Original personnel were David Baker (vocals), Jonathan Donahue (vocals, guitars), Sean "Grasshopper" Mackowiak (guitars, clarinet), Suzanne Thorpe (flute), Dave Fridmann (bass) and Jimy Chambers (drums). With their debut, Yerself Is Steam, the band gained an underground following, particularly in the UK. 1993's Boces was critically acclaimed for its alternative sound, and the band's next album, See You on the Other Side...

Whitey

There is more than one artist with the name Whitey:
1. A solo project by <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/N.J.+Whitey" class="bbcode_artist">N.J. Whitey</a>;
2. A blues-based-doom band from Boston, Massachusetts. 1. Whitey is an ongoing solo project by N.J. Whitey. He is a hard character to pin down- his genre-twisting songs swing wildly between styles, and his dismissive attitude towards the music industry means there are few shows, and even fewer interviews. He has to date had no major record deal, but has still released over 30 records under a variety of names.

Archie Bronson Outfit

Archie Bronson Outfit (Dorian Hobday on bass/guitar, Sam Windett on vocals and lead guitar and Mark Cleveland on drums) are an English blues-rock band. "The Archies" formed after meeting at Kingswood School in Bath during the early 1990s.
Their second album 'Derdang Derdang' was recorded in Nashville in the summer of 2005 and produced by Jacquire King; it was later released on April 3, 2006. The album received generally excellent reviews, with UNCUT and Mojo awarding it four stars. The London listing magazine Time Out awarded it five.
