Cymbals Eat Guitars

Cymbals Eat Guitars are an indie rock band from Staten Island, New York, United States, who formed in 2005. They consist of Joseph Ferocious (vocals, guitar), Matthew Whipple (bass, vocals), Brian Hamilton (keyboards, vocals) and Matthew Miller (drums). They have released one album, "Why There Are Mountains", which has received glowing reviews since its January 2009 release.

...Like Foxes

... Like Foxes are a sweet, cerebral indie-pop band from Canberra whose sound features twinkling guitars and a quietly hyperactive rhythm section. Formed in 2007, they released a split CD with fellow Canberrans Condorcet in late 2008 and then their self titled EP in 2009.

The Morning Benders

The Morning Benders is a band from Berkeley, California, formed in 2005, consisting of Julian Harmon, Tim Or, Jonathan Chu, and Christopher Chu. In 2008, they released their debut album Talking Through Tin Cans on +1 Records. The band has toured in support of Broken Bells (Spring/Summer 2010), Grizzly Bear (Fall 2009), The Kooks and Death Cab for Cutie (Summer 2008), Ra Ra Riot (Fall 2008), The Black Keys (Summer 2010), and has also played with Yo La Tengo, MGMT, Grand Archives, Yeasayer, Two Gallants, The Rosebuds, Au Revoir Simone, We Are Scientists, and White Rabbits.

The Like

The Like were formed in September 2001 by Elizabeth "Z" Berg (vocals/guitar), Charlotte Froom (bass/vocals) and Tennessee Thomas (drums) at the ages of 15, 15 and 16, respectively. All three are daughters of music industry veterans; Berg's father is former Geffen Records A&R exec/record producer Tony Berg, Froom's father is producer Mitchell Froom and Thomas' father is Pete Thomas, longtime drummer for Elvis Costello. From childhood, Froom, Berg and Thomas were immersed in classic rock, and all three took piano lessons before teaching themselves their current instruments.

An Horse

An Horse is a two person indie pop band from Brisbane, Australia, comprising Kate Cooper of Iron On on vocals and guitar and Damon Cox of Intercooler and Mary Trembles on drums. An Horse was originally a solo project of Kate Cooper, who is the principal songwriter. In 2008 they recorded their debut EP 'Not Really Scared' with producer Magoo, and released this on Valve Records. They then released their first full length album 'Rearrange Beds' in January 2009 on Valve Records in Australia and New Zealand and in March of 2009 on Mom & Pop Records in the United States.

Mystery Jets

Hailing from Eel Pie Island, London, England Mystery Jets are a prog/psychedelia-influenced British indie band who refer to as many genres as they like without being bound by any of them. Formed in 2005, the band consists of Blaine Harrison (lead vocals, keyboards), his father Henry Harrison (guitar, backing vocals), William Rees (lead guitar), Kai Fish (bass) and Kapil Trivedi (drums). Due to health problems, Henry Harrison no longer tours with the band, but is still involved in writing and recording.

Pinback are an indie rock band from San Diego, California, currently signed to Temporary Residence Ltd.. The band was formed in 1998 by singers, songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Armistead Burwell Smith IV (also known as Zach Smith, a former member of Three Mile Pilot and the primary member of Systems Officer) and Rob Crow formerly of Thingy, Heavy Vegetable, and Goblin Cock. First acquainted as roommates, they began making recordings in their home, playing along to pre-recorded beats. Today, the band has 2 drummers that switch off and on, Chris Prescott, and Tom Zinser.

Yeasayer

Yeasayer is a band based in Brooklyn, New York. The band was formed in 2006 and consists of three core members, Chris Keating, Ira Wolf Tuton, and Anand Wilder. They first came to attention after appearing at the SXSW festival in early 2007. Their debut album All Hour Cymbals was released in October 2007. Yeasayer described their music as "Middle Eastern-psych-snap-gospel". Live performances often include psychedelic visuals.

Yeasayer released their second studio album, Odd Blood, in February 2010, featuring more pop music influences than earlier work. The band revealed that the album came out of a massive acid trip in New Zealand. Peter Gabriel’s drummer Jerry Marotta helped to record Odd Blood in an upstate New York studio packed with rare synths and percussion instruments from around the globe to create the characteristic worldbeat sound of the album.

Yeasayer released their third studio album, Fragrant World, in August 2012. According to the Fingers Never Bleed Songfacts, it was named after a track that didn't make the new album's final cut. There are multiple artists with this name: 1) (The) World At A Glance are an Australian 4-piece Screamo band based in Melbourne. With influences of Emo, Screamo, Post-Rock, Punk bands such as At The Drive-in, Fugazi, Rites Of Spring, Saetia, Merchant Ships, Make Me and Explosions in the Sky. They began playing together on the first day of December in 2008. after a few months of writing, they recorded a 3 song demo.
