Isaac Graham - A singer/songwriter type from Sydney who grew up on punk rock but now likes country, folk and punk rock and records his music with a Tascam 8-Track with a cheap microphone and attempts to collaborate with the like-minded as much as possible. Plays shows occasionally too. Isaac has released one full-length album entitled "Empty Vessels" on donation-based netlabel Copyleft Records.

Mzaza

Mzaza is an alternative group of musicians playing folk fusion music inspired by the likes of Lhasa de Sela, Radio Tarifa, Manu Chao, Édith Piaf and Yasmin Levy. Current members are: Pauline Maudy, Greta Kelly, Jordan Stamos, Stephen Cuttriss, Tim Johannessen, Andrew Vievers. In the past Miranda Deutsch played guitar for this group. Mzaza explores the cross roads between ancient and contemporary melodies from France, Spain, the Balkans and the Middle East.

Born in 1975 in Handan, Hebei Province, He Guoheng, known in the world of music as Xiao He, is one of the most creative and influential artists in the Beijing music scene. Besides his recordings and his solo and ensemble music performances, he is active in drama, writes incidental music, and is a creative force in the underground movie industry. He is also the head of Maybe Horse, a Maybe Mars sub-label dedicated to supporting and developing Beijing’s and China’s most innovative folk and ethnic musicians.

Ange Takats

National Folk Festival winner of the 2008 Lis Johnston Award for vocal excellence, Ange Takats' voice has been described as Joan Baez meets Gillian Welch. Her debut album Aniseed Tea tells stories of knitting, longing and lovely Irishmen. Born in Sydney but now based on the Sunny Coast, Ange somehow managed to begin her musical journey in Bangkok where she was based for two years as a foreign correspondent.

James Teague

James Teague is a singer/songwriter/guitarist from Perth, Western Australia. Channelling some of the more inspired moments in the annals of folk, country, blues, psych-rock and pop, James Teague has forged a sound that is remarkably distinctive, given his relative freshness to the live music circuit; a sound most easily recognized by intricate, dynamic arrangements, unpredictable songwriting and a soaring vocal tremolo. Listen a little closer and you’ll notice the fiercely dexterous fingerpicking and crafty, eloquent lyricism.

Kathryn Tickell

Kathryn Tickell (b. 1967) is an English player of the Northumbrian smallpipes and fiddle. She has recorded eleven albums, and toured widely. Kathryn Tickell took up the smallpipes aged nine, inspired by her family - especially her father Mike, who was heavily involved in the local traditional music scene - and by the music of an older generation of traditional musicians such as Willie Taylor, Will Atkinson, Joe Hutton, Richard Moscrop and Tom Hunter.

Animal Collective

Animal Collective is a New York City/Washington, D.C/Lisbon based music collective of avant-garde musicians from Baltimore, Maryland. Animal Collective consists of Avey Tare (David Portner), Panda Bear (Noah Lennox), Deakin (Josh Dibb), and Geologist (Brian Weitz). Records released under the name Animal Collective may include contributions from any or all of these members; the lineup is not uniform.

Beth Dariti

Beth Dariti (born Elisabeth Leondariti in Athens) is a Greek/British musician, based in North London. Raised in a musical family, she soon picked up music and began playing the piano at the age of 6. Beth started taking classical guitar lessons at the age of 10; 3 years later her family moved from Greece to England where she developed her percussive guitar style. Started playing with Adrian Roye in 2004 and they have both established their names in the London circuit, mostly playing as a duo, in many venues...

Nancy Kerr and James Fagan

Nancy Kerr (Vocals, Fiddle, Viola, Guitar) and James Fagan (Guitar, Bouzouki, Vocals, Piano) are a folk music duo currently living near Bath, UK. Nancy Kerr is English and used to perform in a duo with Eliza Carthy, and James Fagan is Australian. They were married on June 16th 2007.
