Visions of Trees

Visions of Trees are two London musicians who became friends over the summer of 2009 and began recording together in a local basement shortly afterwards. Their sound is a disembodying reconfiguration of tribal-electronica, awash in echoing techno-ambience with vocals that range between cavernous and soothing. Good for meditation, catharsis, transcendance, epiphany, celebratory dance or any number of things that won’t easily let you split your attention.

Rush In Attack

Rush In Attack are a four piece melodic Indie Rock band based in Melbourne, Victoria. In the past year they have been tearing up Melbourne venues such as The Espy, The Arthouse, Pony, IDGAFF, Pogo and Noise Bar with their extremely catchy Pop Rock tunes. Ask them about their influences and you’ll get a wide variety of bands from early 90’s Britpop to Twitchy Electro to Melodic Hardcore. That’s the beauty of Rush In Attack, their sound can only be described as a modern mash up of the last 70 years of popular music in one explosive live set like an 8-Bit assault on the senses.

Six months after the first show, one year after beginning the process of teaching himself how to sing, the first tracks were laid for Avalanche City's debut album Our New Life Above The Ground.

The Devoted Few

Baby, You’re A Vampire is an astonishing record from start to finish, an album full of bursting hooks, ideas noise. It’s the sound of a band firing on all cylinders, passionately in love with the noise they make together. It’s songwriter Ben Fletcher’s most confident and ambitious effort to date. It’s got moments of transcendence that would make the Arcade Fire blush, dark corners that would frighten Robert Smith, and ideas that would make Brian Eno say, ‘bugger, I wish I’d thought of that’.

Cloud Control

When the mother of guitarist Alister Wright banned him from playing Counter Strike and signed him up for the local musical to make some friends, Mamma Wright claimed she only did what any mother would have done. It was, however, an act of exemplary parenting that would be applauded in child-rearing manuals for years to come. From his back row position in the chorus of Pirates of Penzance, Alister could see that the production team was having issues with the shaggy-haired lighting man Ulrich Lenffer, whose need to hit things rhythmically made him useless at following the directors cues.

Samba
