City Falls are a metalcore band from Bathurst, NSW who began in 2007 under the name For The Killing. After numerous name changes and getting a new rhythm guitarist, they changed their name to City Falls, and released their first recording, Broken Idols, which is currently gaining steam in the underground local scene.
The Gifthorse were a punk band hailing from Brisbane, Queensland. They draw influence from many 90's punk/emo bands such as Samiam, Hot Water Music, Texas Is The Reason and Jawbreaker. Members have gone on to play in Fires of Waco and Headaches.
Story of the Year is a post-hardcore band from St. Louis, Missouri originally formed in 1995. The band currently consists of vocalist Dan Marsala, lead guitarist Ryan Phillips, rhythm guitarist and back up vocalist Philip Sneed, bassist Adam Russell and drummer Josh Wills. Initially named Big Blue Monkey, they changed their name to Story of the Year in 2002 because a blues group of the same name had already existed.
Framing Hanley is a five piece alternative rock band from Cookeville (Tennessee), United States. Nixon, Chris, Brandon, Tim, and Luke came together to form a band that was eventually named Framing Hanley. (The band was called by a different name up until 2006, Embers Fade, but changed in dedication to a great friend of the band, Ashley Hanley, who passed away.) With their amazing musical abilities and live show the band quickly gained a large following in Nashville.
My Disco is a musical collaboration between Liam Andrews (bass, vocals), Rohan Rebeiro (drums) and Ben Andrews (guitar) that formed in Melbourne, Australia in 2003. Named after a Big Black song, the band contains member of the former Clann Zú, Days Of Iris and Heartfeltself. In 2003, My Disco performed their first shows in small venues in and around Melbourne, including many 2 PM all-ages house shows. Late 2003 saw the release of their debut 7", and marked their first Australian tour.
The Broderick are a Hardcore band out of Melbourne, Australia. Their debut E.P 'Illusion Over Despair' was released back in 2007 on Washed Up Records and was rated among the best hardcore releases of '07 by the listeners of SHORT. FAST. LOUD on Triple J. After forming in the later part of 2008, it hasn't taken Built On Secrets long to solidify their status as one of the most promising young bands in Australia. With only a self-released demo to their name, the Melbourne-based group was able to score support slots with everyone from All Time Low and Set Your Goals to The Amity Affliction, Haste The Day and 3OH!3, all of which has demonstrated that Built On Secrets' dynamic sound is capable of appealing to a slew of different audiences.
Hot Water Music is a Gainesville, Florida punk outfit known for Chuck Ragan's raspy vocals, as well as their searing Jawbreaker-esque guitars on earlier albums. The act first formed in 1993, and their first record, Finding the Rhythms, was released on No Idea and Toy Box records. Many fans commonly refer to Hot Water Music as the abbreviation, HWM. The name Hot Water Music comes from a Charles Bukowski book.
