Opeth

Opeth is a progressive metal band from Sweden that is influenced by many diverse musical styles ranging from jazz, 1970s progressive rock, death metal, and blues. Their recent releases have deviated from their traditional death metal influenced style, with more emphasis on progressive elements. Vocalist Mikael Åkerfeldt is also noted for utilizing both clean singing and death growls, often in the same track.

Drawing influence from artists such as In Flames, Machine Head, Mors Principium Est, Dark Tranquillity, Soilwork and The Black Dahlia Murder to name a few, they are certainly a band to keep an eye on as they continue to build a solid following.

Unearthly

There are 2 or 3 bands that share this name: #1. One of the most notorious black metal bands hailing from Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Unearthly was established by the end of 1998, with M. Mictian on bass and Lord Thoth on guitars and vocals.
Their first demo, "Blessed are the Destroyers of False Hope", was released in june 2000, and the second one, "Living Under the Sign of Blasphemy" was launched a little over one year afterwards in august 2001. Both works had good acceptance within the scene and received good reviews, which guaranteed them many concerts in their native country.

Embodied is a death metal band from Melbourne, Australia . Formed in 1997, the band self-released their first EP 'Slaves of the Ancient Machine' the following year... Over the next few years the band developed a solid reputation in the local scene, whilst also experiencing some lineup changes. Death Vomit

There are two bands sharing this name: (1) brutal death metal from Jogjakarta, INDONESIA. Formed in the middle 1995, Death Vomit wrote their own Death Metal materials. After a few demos, vomiting the debut album 'Eternally Deprecated' (1999). This album was self released (Demented Mind Records) and succesfully crushed Indonesian Death Metal scene.
Re-released in 2002 under licensed by Extreme Souls Production and more spread the hatred all around Indonesia.

Ignivomous

Ignivomous is a death metal band from Melbourne, Australia. Formed in 2006, the band quickly issued a cassette version of the demo "Path of Attrition", which quickly sold out. This led to them signing with cult US label Nuclear War Now! and re-issuing the demo on 12" vinyl with a bonus track (a cover of ancient Australian band Necrotomy). 2008 saw the release of the "Eroded void of salvation" 7", followed up by gigs throughout Australia.

There are two bands named Make Them Suffer. One is a Dutch band making beatdown hardcore, the other is a symphonic death metal band from Australia. Make Them Suffer are a 5 piece Symphonic Death Metal band from Perth, Western Australia.
